691706 2008-07-24 08:34:00 Use rogueremover or malwarebytes Speedy Gonzales (78)
691707 2008-07-24 08:46:00 The system with the problem will only boot in safe mode & won't go online as such. Ive tryed rogue remover but without updates it hasent done the job.
Presently running SpyHunter (was recomended on google) taking forever, seems to be finding a heap of stuff though. If that dosent help I may have to remove the HD & scan it in another system.

691708 2008-07-24 09:00:00 Select safe mode / networking then you should be able to update it

If you use XP

See if Antivirus XP Pro is in add/remove programs. If it is uninstall it

691710 2008-07-24 09:10:00 Also get the cleaners from My sig and run those.

Look in Add remove programs, see if its still there, uninstall if it is.

Look in the program files after uninstalling and after running all the cleaners, locate the folders that it usually leaves behind and delete them.

Turn off system restore as it will be in there as well.

691712 2008-07-24 12:08:00 Not out of the woods yet.
Original problem with this system was booting up to a black screen with only curser visable.
Got it to boot to safe mode & found problem as above.
After post no 7 I tidyed up the system, uninstalled AVG & Nortons, ran Ccleaner etc. It would then boot up & run fine. I installed Avast Home & Super Antispyware, done the updates & rebooted. We are now back to the black screen & it won't start in safe mode.

691714 2009-01-19 18:31:00 I started noticing this malware in quite a few pc's since mid way through last year.
Under a few aliases also, Antivirus XP 2009, antispyware XP 2008 etc.
