| 437233 | 2006-03-10 20:43:00 | Looking at the monthly desktop postings and observing the icons at the botom right next to clock and the I got wondering what everyones pc's idle at after start up. I realise these icons in now way represent the whole picture, but am curious to know what the average is out there (RAM usage, process numbers, CPU usage) My system at idle is using... 198MB RAM 26 process 0~1% cpu usage Also noticed after I go around to look at mates pc's, is that invariably with brand pc's, because of all the preinstalled crap, thier start up is REALLY slow, with nearly every programs set to run at start up. Some with over 50 process's going. |
