436849 2006-03-09 02:10:00 Just announced that both U2 concers have been postponed due to illness of an immeadiate family member.

Could make life interesting for some people who have made bookings and now need to cancel.

436850 2006-03-09 02:26:00 That's gotta suck - especially for the people who have bought airline tickets to Oz to see the concerts over there in a couple of weeks time :) I do know of someone who's done that...

That said, I should probably txt him to make sure he knows.

PJ :pIt shouldn't stop the ticket scalping - the current tickets will just be replaced with new tickets, so whoever has them (or buys them) will still be able to get them swapped for new ones... unlikely there will be many (if any) new tickets available.

436855 2006-03-09 03:27:00 Depending on the ticketing policy as to whether they issue new tickets or accept the originals it could be interesting for those who bought off Trademe as they are not the original purchasers. I would also expect that refunds would be available for those who cannot go at a later date.

436856 2006-03-09 03:44:00 Should the show be cancelled ticket holders will be given a refund of the face value of the ticket. It'll be a bummer for those poor suckers who paid $1000 on TradeMe. Mackin_NZ (6958)

It'll be a bummer for those poor suckers who paid $1000 on TradeMe.The show hasn't been cancelled, it has been postponed. Ticket holders I know have been told to hold on to their tickets for now.

There has been talk that the NZ and Oz concerts may be postponed until November. The Japan and Hawaii concerts may be held later in the northern summer.
