| 692517 | 2008-07-26 23:03:00 | Ok well i have satellite and live in a rural area. I know that satellite is not built for fast pings and heard that dial-up is much better. So i went out and bought a dial up modem ($40!!) from DSE, came home pluged it in and set up my account details. I have XFire on my computer and use that to find my COD2 servers as it is quicker. To my utter suprise my ping (which used to be 800-999) was now down to 350! :banana. I quickly joined a server and got on. but my ping now shot up (showed in xfire that it was 10,000). My ping just is not reliable! Thanks Game Guru P.S my dial up speed is around 19.2kbs |
