Ask freinds, neighbours, family, colleagues, get a recommendation. Turning into bit of a business now. I've heard of people charghing $20 a night. I always did it for a favour and to watch the wonders of Telly. But I think there are now agencies that manage this like Nanny Agencies. Ring your local Citizens Advice Bureau. |

If you Google for house sitting (pages from NZ), you will find a few listings. We will be going to the so-called United Kingdom (it is neither united nor a kingdom!) later this year for 6 weeks and will be looking for a house sitter as well. Last time we went for a month, my wife was able to find a young couple who were building, and they house sat for us. She found the couple through colleagues at work - they were the daughter and son in law of a fellow staff member. We asked them to pay the power bill for the month, and they seemed more than happy with that. |
