| 692258 | 2008-07-26 01:30:00 | Sorry missed your post Speedy. I have "fixed" those options and rebooted. The system didn't noticeably run faster. There may have been a small 10 second change but it's hard to tellw hen it's compltetely ready. uTorrent doesn't bother me. I'm on dial up and it's set to only use 3kbps download and 1 upload (YEA I KNOW i can only download at 5.7 anyway). I only use it for small things.... but forum rules - enough said. I don't have a win2k disc which is kinda a giant problem. You may have seen when you looked the system up online and saw that it comes preinstalled with Windows ME. This was a horrible operating system and caused problems with the video card I was supplied with so it got upgraded to win2k by a comptuer geekishy person who never gave us a win2k cd. All I have in OS cds is Windows XP Home (no product key... but is poss to activate and use) and a disc from Dell called "For the Reinstallaion of Windows Millenuim Edition onto Dell systems" which also says it includes NO drivers. I don't want to have to go through the hassle of reinstalling and because I'm not the only one who uses this PC, I can't really upgrade to XP. Thanks for all the help.
