All times are GMT +13. The time now is 1 hour and 1 minute faster than it should be.

My time here is correct.

Trevor :)

zqwerty go to your User CP > Edit Options > Date & Time Options & make sure you select "Automatically detect DST settings" as I dont think yours is curenley set to that ;)

as I get: All times are GMT +12. The time now is 12:25 PM.

Hope this helps :)

439437 2006-03-21 03:55:00 Yup, server time is correct.

There is still something not right though.

If I don't log in the times shown are 1 hour ahead, ie 2.50pm instead of 1.50pm.

If I log in then, all times become correct, ie NZ Standard Time.

Edit: See? Perhaps you didn't :), but I just logged out and this posting said 3.55pm, log back in and it said 2.55pm

I certainly can't explain your time variations, but suggest that those of us set up to auto-logon at PF1 (as I am) won't see any differences.

P.S. And thanks for the music, godfather.
(More usual to be saying that to Terry)

Ya see what you mean. Looks like the default (without user preferences) is stills et to GMT +13. I'll alert the F1 IT Emergency Response Team, but since mary is on holiday that means Jim and he's juggling all the IT balls. His response is likely to be not so fast ....

439440 2006-03-21 07:03:00 I found the same as Terry, Bruce.

Maybe the server has UTC, and the page generation code converts from that according to the user's Timezone setting, and DST choice. Default settings rule for those not logged in.

Perhaps making the default settings have "automatically detect DST settings" turned on would help. This would fix it for people not logged in, and make logged-in people do something to get it wrong.

What a great collection of weird & wonderfuls hidden in the bowels of the machine.
I will have to have a play with some of those. (Scrolling down happily...)
