Happy birthday to brig!
Happy birthday to brig!
Happy birthday to ...............

72 today and getting younger everyday, thanks in no small measure to PC World and all you guys and gals at PressF1 and the best hobby ever.

Thank you one and all...and no chocolates please, it just means I'll have to do more miles on the bike to burn up the calories sweating over these Coromandel hills.

P.S. Could someone please tell me how to put smiley thingies into a post...I havn't managed to figure it out yet!

Could someone please tell me how to put smiley thingies into a post...I havn't managed to figure it out yet!Go to your User Control Panel (User CP) at the top of the page. Go to Edit Options. Scroll down to the bottom to Miscellaneous Options and change the Message Editor Interface to Standard Editor. Now when you post a message you'll see the smilies in a box - just click on one to insert it.

Or if you know the characters, you can just put them in manually, eg : and ) together for a smile: :)

Have a look at this (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz n) on how to use smilies, and also this (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz).

Basically you can either type them in using the characters for that smilie, or click on the actual smilie to have it inserted into your post.

439025 2006-03-18 22:35:00 Also, afaik, Java script has to be enabled to use the smilies by clicking on them in the box on the right of the panel that you write the post in. If it is disabled then the code has to be used. :2cents: Terry Porritt (14)

Well, Java is enabled but I don't have any smilies on the right of this panel at the moment.

I have adblocked these panels at some stage, if that is the problem?

Anyway, I'm happy with the manual ones, at last I can add them to a post now

Thanks for the help
