439013 2006-03-21 04:55:00 Thanks for that link zqwerty!
I have an older Soltek 75KAV mobo and had been wondering what the hell was happening to some of the capacitors on it. Now I know. Looks like I have 9 of the discoloured, bulging little b*stards.
I've read some of the other posts on F1 and wonder if anyone found a useful source of the right sort of low ESR caps in NZ?

Thanks.

439014 2006-03-21 05:29:00 Did you look at this thread? (pressf1.co.nz/showthread.php?t=53965&highlight=jaycar+low+esr)

Jaycar (www.jaycar.co.nz) are probably still the best bet. Use "low esr" in their search.

What the??? My old computer mobo is the same model and I don't have that problem... Hmm But I do have absolutely zip all sound though even though any OS can recognise it and install the drivers properly
