438910 2006-03-17 20:05:00 Move went well, then friends came down for a few days. I have become infamous already as yesterday we went into town and after years of driving in Auckland (!) I arrive here and crash. Geez....

My fault, busy looking for a particular shop and went through the intersection.
Wrote my car off, broke the other guys car - he had road rage about it - and broke my foot too.

We are in Saturdays Southland Times.
Great start huh....

438911 2006-03-17 20:14:00 The guy assulted you and broke your foot?! :horrified

Well think of it this way, this saves you having to go around and introduce yourself to everyone now :p

438912 2006-03-17 20:15:00 Not the warmest welcome to our great City. Did you have the misfortune of hitting one of the boy racers that love their car way too much?

Broken foot? most people start throwing punches when they lose controll, not breaking feet.

Well done for making it into the paper... must get one of the aunties to send me a copy.

438917 2006-03-17 21:26:00 Bummer . . . Hopefully you are all insured .

But I would have thought that there would be so little traffic down there you would have got away with it .

You'll just have to rest the foot and watch the Games .

BTW, me mother-in-law lives down there, you didn't crash into her did you :D . . . (yeah ok, it was a bloke) .
