693036 2008-07-28 08:06:00 Hi, Even I am having the same problem. I want to reinstall my windows XP pro by formatting only C:\ which is a NTFS partition. I don't want to touch any other drives in the same HDD. don't know how to do this? any one please help. Black Pulsor (14022)

693038 2008-07-28 09:27:00 Welcome to PF1 - its actually quite easy, boot from the XP Pro CD, agree to the license etc, and follow the prompts through - when it looks for any current install it will show the current C: drive as well as any other drives/Partitions on the drive.

Make sure you select the C: drive, select the keys it tells you - you will get a couple of warning to say it will delete any data on C: - agree and it will format and install windows on C: leaving the other drives intact.
