| 441593 | 2006-03-29 03:12:00 | Well its almost a year since I've been here. So many changes in my life, but good to be back and to recognise some familiar names! Anyway,,,,,, anyone know anything about Blogs? Where's a good place to sign up for one, can anyone read them - or can you keep them private? What I really want to do, is set up a family orientated one so "friends and rellies" in NZ and far-flung places can read and keep up with family news, and add their own bits of news to it (if thats possible) Sort of a daily diary of funny happenings Thanks guys, (a slightly older & balder) Baldy :thumbs: |

It depends on what you what if you want any one to read them or only some people to read them & it depends on what blog software you are going to use as well . If you have your own website then it makes it a bit easier to keep it private as you can password protect the folder the blog is in and add their own bits of news to it (if thats possible) I think they can do that via comments I Hope this helps :) |

| 441596 | 2006-03-29 03:32:00 | What about a Wiki (en.wikibooks.org ) ? Some of the free hosting sites allow private ones; (supported by Google ads, or other text ads.) e.g. Schtuff, Wikispaces ... Might be worth a look. |

Besides if it doesn't work out you can always try another and it costs nothing . BTW Google bought this company last year, so it will be around for a while yet . |
