440037 2006-03-23 02:07:00 Hi all

Am really wanting to hear from anyone that has one of these media players. I am trying to decide between the 30GB Vision:M and the 60GB iPod. I would dearly love the extra storage of the iPod (I have 50GB of MP3) but am willing to go to 30GB if the Creative player is actually that much better in the real world.

So if anyone has hands on experience I would be grateful to hear from you.

Thanks.

440038 2006-03-23 02:26:00 This are very good. Even better, if possible, is the vanilla Zen Vision. The 30GB capacity is offset by the incredibly rich screen(the vanilla version has a 3.7" screen). The colours on each screen are approx. 5 times richer. Also, they come from a company famous for their sound products.

Go for apple if you want the latest "in" thing. Go for creative if you want better products, but lesser known products.

440042 2006-04-03 10:57:00 I have heard some people saying in the forum tha the creative zen vision m has alot of problems

But i think this is not true and they all just want ipod to do better.

Personally i've sold 5 of these players and haven't had 1 single problem

Player supports more format than Ipod.

The mpeg 4 playerback is relatively good.It has a display of 264000 color.

But compared to My nokia N70 which does 3g as well as movie playback

The creative has actually got a sharper screen and shows clear graphics.

Bass is well balanced with treble.Bass isn't too deep and treble isn't too high.

Often with the Sony Nw-A1000 and NW-A3000 players the bass so deep it cancels out treble noises so all you hear thumping bass sounds.

I reckon there's too much treble with the Ipod nano.

Ipod in my view are better than sony but I feel the sound quality is not as good as creative.

The video/audio cable for the creative zen vision m which plugs to your tv are around $30NZ in Hk and you can only buy such a cable from creative.

I don't you will have any problems with the creative zen vision m

Hmm and the new Cowon Iaudio U3 is quite good also.Might also be able to compete with zen vision m and ipod however its a 1GB and costs $370NZ.Plays Mpeg4 though which is quite good.

Anyway.Creative zen vision m has no problems as far as Im aware of

I have a Creative Zen Micro Photo myself and it uses the same software as zen vison m .

Importing mp3's aren't much of a pain. You just pick the mp3s from the list and just import them and click continue.A very painless process to import mp3s to the player.Itune and Creative are quite easy to use.

P.S I have no experience with the creative so can't judge it, but just clarifying the point that the ipod is not a flash in the pan, but a proven product that has longivtivity(don't mention the batteries)

440044 2006-04-03 13:19:00 True.Apple isn't the latest in thing.Itune has been around for a while

But Apple proved that Sony SonicStage S**k badly!

Both Itune and Creative Software are equal.

440045 2006-04-04 02:17:00 Dumb(?) Question here but I'm just looking at the Vision bumph on Creative site.It mention songs at 64kbpsWMA as well 128bkps Audio Mp3.Bit confused .Am I restricted to only uploading WMA or are they quoting a maxiumum amount of that type of audio? What I want to do is transfer a large amount of mp3 trks both 96 & 128 plus OggV that i have taken from CD's & the Net.Seems the natural thing to be able to do but you never know. amyes5 (2773)

I believe what it means is that it can fit such a such amount of songs or video in the player at 128KBPs mp3 or 64KBPS wma .

If you read it under 120 hours of video play back there's a smal '1" beside it and scroll down to the bottum of the page it reads Based on 500Kbps MPEG4-SP format .

You are not restricted to anything . The player does not support OGGv format
