692834 2008-08-12 06:01:00 Thats the reason I got NOD32, I was playing a game and was about to land a winning shot when it went, Virus Database Has been Updated so loud, I missed by tons and got killed :(. Thankfully, I haven't ever gotten a trojan or virus with avast. SPARTAN 860 (2618)

You do know you can turn off Avast's sounds don't you??

In Sound properties in Control Panel - scroll down and look for Avast Antivirus, then set each one to have 'no sound'.

In Sound properties in Control Panel - scroll down and look for Avast Antivirus, then set each one to have 'no sound'.

Just right click the Avast icon in the taskbar, select program settings and under "sounds" tick "disable all avast sounds". Much easier.
