| 439924 | 2006-03-23 22:11:00 | I am looking forward to the new Ubuntu release. Especially because it has been delayed 6 weeks. I find that odd, but I feel confident when something like Ubunt is delayed, the 6 weeks will mean 6 weeks more of solidifying the release. Unlike vista which gets delayed years, and features that where originally promised got removed. Still looking forward to Vista as well though, but a bit fed up with it already, and I havn't even tried it. |

I agree Win2K or WinXP do everything required at this point in time - the only good thing will be the flashy interface / programming possibilities under WinFX but if that means a CPU + RAM + VGA (basically whole PC) upgrade then I will give it a miss (for a while)... If you've got that sort of money go for it and get caught up in the inevitable bug/compatibilty problems tidle wave :) The last time I bought an OS (OEM) I had a choice of Win2000 and WinXP - I'm sure glad I bought Win2K as WinXP wasnt any good until SP1 (SP2? lol)! So my advice - wait for Vista SP1 :) :) :lol: |
