Many RTS have to keep track of far more. Saying it is made for the future is a joke, and at the same time correct, future processors will probably run better but its still very poorly optimised, and from Microsoft how strange lol. |

Many RTS have to keep track of far more. Care to qualify that opinion? Because I have yet to see a non-MMO RTS game that needs to keep track of as much stuff at once as FSX has to. And MMO games don't count, because they run on massive server clusters, not a single desktop. At the moment it just looks like you are (unsuccessfully) trolling. |

| 693400 | 2008-07-30 05:30:00 | Hmm. "Interesting..........about SP2 though. At the time I was trialling it, I got no noticeable increase in frames. I no longer have RealNZ installed at Auck, just a few minor customizations. As a I later found out the Water Effects was the major culprit as a frame hogger. Auckland, esp NZAA is surrounded by water. I remember each upgrade I did, it may have been FS9 at the time (or a mix) but, from XP 2000 to AM2 4200 (CPU) - no difference, GeForce 4200 to 7800 - no difference, GeForce 7800 to 8800 - no difference! See a pattern emerging here..." |
