It is save to use A-Patch .It is pretty much known to most people who are computer literate or you can try the mess.be patch which is the same as A-patch but made by a different person |

| 692799 | 2008-07-27 12:05:00 | I use messpatch (from www.mess.be - make sure you find the right one for your version of messenger) to remove ads and other unwanted features and also use msgplus (http: to add extra ones) Never tried A-patch, looks good though. Avast could be picking up a bundled "sponsor" program or something - messenger plus has one but you can choose not to install it if you so wish. Or it could be detecting code that is used to modify the messenger executable. Lots of reasons to be detected as a virus when it's not |
