It has really changed the way we watch TV – watch what we what to when we want to. Record the news etc and flick through all the rubbish (and adverts) in about 15 minutes. Cannot believe that people sit down every night for an hour or more (at the same time) and have to watch every single item – do you read every item in the newspaper?!
Anyway enough ranting – now the problem. Anyone else still having probs with TVNZ’s series link? (that’s where you can set a program to record each time it is on). They did a software upgrade recently to fix a bug but me thinks it is still not right.

441123 2006-03-27 05:38:00 Sorry, just being cheeky!

Do you use the twin tuners much? i.e watch one sky channel while recording another? Also, can you record 2 channels while watching something you recorded earlier?
Trying to talk my dad into getting it.

At the price this monopolistic crowd charge they can keep their My Sky.

The same box in Oz is free but you about another $5~10 / month on your account.. and TIVO in the US gives you the box for free if you sign up for 12 months and you keep it at the end of the year..

Except that you keep paying that $10/month forever. Sky's cost is a one-off.

And yes it would be great to have TiVO here, but sadly no such luck.

441128 2006-03-27 06:23:00 Someone wanted a picture of the box - have scanned in the back of it - lets know how can get it to you.
To answer about recording 2 different channels – works very well. What we tend to do is take 15 min once a week and go through all the Sky listings and record what we want (highlight – press R – that simple) and find now watching hardly any TV live – except sport – and then when interrupted – just press Pause and start again when ready!
All ewes negative guys – if we didn’t have electricity and they were gona bring it in – be right up your street to start complaining on that too!
BTW – one off cost of $599.
