Some VPNs will be faster than other VPN's not necessarily more secure or private either . It could be via a bunch of dodgy crooks monitoring all traffic through the VPN :-) or VPN provider might be keeping records of all traffic , and handing those over when threatened with lawsuits or jail. (this has happened many years ago, guy running an anonymizing service, but stupidly kept records of everything & handed those over when raided by authorities) depends on how where why |
