1429059 2016-11-22 00:16:00 I need to remove some add-ins from Outlook Express to get it working properly again but when I attempt to remove them I receive a message that says only an administrator can do that, so the question is how do I become and administrator so I can fix the problem? Thanks for your help. Roscoe (6288)

1429064 2016-11-24 01:28:00 Thanks so much for all your suggestions, lads. Unfortunately none seem to work. I am becoming very frustrated.

It seems to me that I need to open OE as an administrator. I have used the Open As Administrator but it still does not work and comes up with the same error message that says the add-ins can only be managed by an administrator. So I am at a loss as what to do next.

1429065 2016-11-29 02:14:00 Have you tried selecting Start/All Programs/ then holding Shift Key and then right clicking Outlook Express, select Run as Administrator in the list of options displayed
(I am presuming your Outlook Express is under "All Programs").
You can do the same if the Outlook Express Icon is pinned to the Task bar
Hold Shift Key and then right clicking Outlook Express Icon, select Run as Administrator in the list of options displayed
