1426940 2016-10-05 02:01:00 Oh the danger of starting another such thread.

No it wouldn't, the turntable would fling the whole thing sideways and it would crash.

1426941 2016-10-05 03:42:00 It may all depend upon whether the turntable plays vinyl or shellac............. Terry Porritt (14)
1426942 2016-10-05 05:55:00 It might not take off so to speak but I'm sure it would take sideways gary67 (56)
1426943 2016-10-05 09:38:00 Vinyl or shellac could be moot, but it wouldn't be an LP R2x1 (4628)
1426944 2016-10-05 20:42:00 Maybe if the turntable is a "78" . Whenu (9358)
1426945 2016-10-05 21:29:00 Actually, DIY turntables can be used to setup RC heli's . The heli has to be tied down to stop them taking off.
So I guess thats the answer, yes it will take off, will it be controllable ?

Even if the turntable in the pic is turned on, if the heli is perfectly centered , it wont get flung off

However, the tonearm will cause a few issues if its an automatic turntable :)
I think you need a special needle to be able to play heli's on your home stereo anyway, and do analogue helis sound better than the new digital format heli's?

Heli yes, a warmer, toneier sort of cacophony.
