Others browse their YouTube channels constantly, Facebook video chat frequently, Me doing Sky On Demand downloads frequently. son and Son in-law blasting on games and Xbox internet. All this across about 8 connected devices most nights. Our unlimited, increasing to 380 GB per month, up from 60 GB a few months back., | kahawai chaser (3545) | ||
| 1427432 | 2016-10-15 02:22:00 | Is fibre really worth all the fuss? I'm on VDSL, getting great speeds, and experiencing no problems with downloads. I have fibre at the letterbox but am undecided as to whether to get it connected or not. If its there and not costing any more, or no limits on the amount you can download. Meaning if your current plan is unlimited, your fibre may have a limit 30 /60 GB for the same price etc. Other than that no real reason not to. |

| 1427434 | 2016-10-16 02:20:00 | Is that what makes fibre worthwhile - being able to download movies etc quickly? I'd say..... Or games. Or streaming. I don't download large any files, watch stuff online or stream movies. It costs more than ADSL and there are numerous horror stories about the installs too. So, Im happy to wait for one day when it's cheaper, the installs are sorted, even if I still don't have a reason for the speed then. |

It's not likely to be cheaper than ADSL for a while, and the installs may *cost* you at that stage, not to mention Chorus insure their work for $500,000 per-install... So there really is no better time to do the install than now! |
