1427132 2016-10-09 06:36:00 There are Evangelicals who believe they can raise the dead......resurrection....www.telegraph.co.uk

Can't see the difference myself between resurrection and necromancy, both involve belief in mumbling 'words of power' to bring the dead back , the only difference is one involves 'white magic' or prayer, quote "The Church does not deny that, with a special permission of God, the souls of the departed may appear to the living, and even manifest things unknown to the latter," and "Resurrection is the rising again from the dead, the resumption of life."

and the other 'black magic', quote "The practice of necromancy supposes belief in the survival of the soul after death, the possession of a superior knowledge by the disembodied spirit, and the possibility of communication between the living and the dead", quotes from the Catholic Encyclopedia :

You can see that the Catholics certainly believe in lots of mumbo-jumbo :devil :banana

1427133 2016-10-09 06:56:00 That was not very intelligent, but then not unexpected. Pity you could not come up with an argument to support your opinion.

Why should I have to justify to you or anybody, my reasoning for thinking that your statement (opinion) was a load of bull sh1t in my mind?

1427134 2016-10-09 07:03:00 I think the likely explanation for near death experience is the gradual dimming of consciousness, followed by hallucinations of dead loved ones.
This is sometimes followed by the recovery of the individual.

But an afterlife? Once the dimming is over and the light has stopped?
No, we get this one, no extras, no imaginary sky-friends, none of that.

Well I kinda said the same thing, but in hindsight no. If we simply cease to exist as I believe then we won't be able to answer anything. So it's far from certain.

Because intelligent answers are preferred rather answers fit for an Irish navvy.

We on here are ladies and gentlemen and prefer to be treated as such.
