| 1429563 | 2016-12-07 05:54:00 | Hello I want to buy a new monitor, Its an LG 29UM68 I am buying it so that my g/f can watch movies on it and I can have a split screen on the 29" width for word, excel and access etc. My question is, as it is a very high quality display 2560x1080 will my older graphics card still work with it? Its an Asus R7 270 I know it probably won't out put the 2560x1080 graphics, but I do not really need that, as long as it will still work. I am not buying the monitor for its display quality just its size - 29" |

| 1429566 | 2016-12-07 17:45:00 | No. See: www.tomshardware.com It's a bit old now. However, your question relates to the screen and whether it can do the resolution, yes it can. You are not asking about games, just movies and applications, so it's fine. |

It gets good reviews, and has an onscreen split screen mode, and on screen mouse controls which sound handy. And its come down from $600 to $450. I am hoping that it will save me buying two monitors And thanks PCTek for the link to that graphics card chart |
