| 1428890 | 2016-11-19 02:11:00 | I would be grateful if someone can advise me how to link Saving Documents and My Documents to a different Drive other than C, I prefer to have all my Files and Documents in Drive D to avoid lo ss if one has to reinstall the Operating system. run Windows 10 This is on a relatively new Laptop, on which I have Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit - I deliberately elected not to run Windows 10 I would appreciate if all the steps necessary to do this could be spelt out Many thanks in anticipation |

To the User 'My Documents' will seem normal, but will be diverted to the new folder. I also do this with the Roaming folder so that my mail and other data are saved in the event of a Windows melt down. You can also have a folder called 'Google Drive' which is synced to Google Cloud. Anything in this folder will be backed up to Google Drive. get instructions from Google. Your choice to keep W7 Pro is wise, W10 is still a work in progress, while W7 was sorted years ago. |
