2008-08-02 05:13:00 | Hey there . I really need some help on an issue . :help: I recently took my computer to PB Tech to get it switched from Windows Vista to XP . I got it changed because I was really tired of it continually showing the BSOD and crashing around <5mins into a game . So I just got it back last week and returned all my important documents to the computer and installed two games my dad enjoys . They worked amazing, brilliant FPS compared to Vista . :D Then when it all was going good, I installed another game, Fable - Lost Chapters, for my brother . This worked well for around 20 minutes before it suddenly started playing up . :( There were random diamonds flashing though the screen and it jammed up every few seconds . So I Alt-F4 and Ctrl-Alt-Del to get rid of the application . I was origionally getting these sort of problems with Vista before PB upgraded my Motherboard BIOS . Then SP1 came along and It started BSODing all over everything! So ever since Fable first ran it is crashing and playing up like it was origionally on every game, and I even got a BSOD :crying So if any of you have this problem, or similar, or know of a fix, please help me so i can get back to my life and stop worrying . My Specs are: XP Professional OS 2G Ram Intel(R) Core2 CPU 6600 @ 2 . 40GHz nVidia GeForce 8800 GTS If i forgot anything, I apologise please ask . I also have Logitech STX Webcam and Logitech G15 Keyboard if that helps! Please help me, i am tired of everything crashing on me . Thanks in Advance :)

2008-08-02 05:17:00 | Oh and btw, AVG also picked up two trojans in SYSTEM32 drivers folders after the second crash. | Izoomonu (14038) | |
2008-08-02 05:18:00 | WHAT does the BSOD say?? Whats the stop error?? Does it show the name of a file? Look under control panel / admin tools / event viewer / application and system on the left, for any bugcheck entries or X's Whats the brand/model of the mobo? What service pack have you installed? 1,2 or 3? Did you install the Nvidia drivers from CD or the Nvidia site?? And not from the Windowsupdate site?

I would get hijackthis in my sig below, install it run it, then click on scan the system and save a log. Copy and paste the log here |

2008-08-02 05:28:00 | Right mouse on the my computer icon on the desktop (if its there) Select properties , (or press the windows + pause key) / advanced tab / startup and recovery / settings. Untick automatically restart then OK. Next time it crashes, it may bring up a blue screen. Take note of what it says Double click on the X or bugcheck entry / entries. Click on the icon under the down arrow, and paste it here

2008-08-02 05:37:00 | Oh and about the previous post, it has only blue screened once since it started crashing, so i cant ensure it will happen again. there are severl X's, at least 20 for every crash ive had most likely. But an example of one is... Hanging application TW2008.exe, version 3.2.7.1, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000. For more information, see Help and Support Center at go.microsoft.com if thats what uu wanted at least... :( ive almost got the hijackthis log btw
