694117 2008-08-01 08:33:00 i have problems with my network card as when i ever i reset the computer my computer has to search for a network in order to get the internet. When it doesnt find one it connection is strictly lan but no internet connectivity. It keeps saying that i have multiple networks which i dont . So i have to keep disconnecting the ethernet cable from the back so that it can search again till it finds the right network for the internet. Is the way i can set the right network settings so it stops searching for other networks??plz help!!! cotutaha (12204)
694118 2008-08-01 08:45:00 What version of Windows, is it?

Are you on dialup, or broadband?? What about a modem/router?

What have you put under the LAN properties??

Is there more than 1 computer there? Or just the one youre having probs with??

694119 2008-08-01 11:30:00 You don't have 2 routers, or 1 router plus an access point or some other hardware on your LAN?

I'm thinking you might have a couple of boxes acting as DHCP servers & only 1 gives you a good internet connection. Your PC will get an address & more importantly, a gateway IP, randomly from 1 or the other if there are 2 or more.
