Both total crap.
Buy an ASUS next time.Build a desktop sounds a better option. Other than that, and having learnt the hard way, i totally agree.

All those connecteors have a "number of insertions" specified by their manufacturers. It's not very high. For the "RJ" telephone types (for modems, and Ethernet) the number is in the hundreds. The 3.5 mm jacks for audio would probably be less. All more reason to replace the laptop with a luggable. :) All the connections would stay connected.... much better!

443239 2006-04-04 06:12:00 ...still have that IBM ThinkPad 386 with Win2000Pro that I just hate...but it keeps on going and going....I use it for a doorstop, to press things together when I laminate pictures from my printers and even use it as a platform for a monitor...but it still works. I have NO idea how olde it is...but it is the model after the coal-fired one I think.

I hate it...it refuses to die....it's so slow...the screen has no dead pixels...no problems other that it's slowness and the fact that (did I say this?) I HATE IT!!!! :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

Maybe it's because it runs on 120 volts!!!!! hahahahahahaha
