2006-04-03 21:00:00 | The old CRT type. There are new types coming soon, to make both LCD and plasma obsolete. CRT tpes are now dirt cheap so hold off on the big fancy stuff or you'll just have to do it again later. | pctek (84) | |
2006-04-03 21:23:00 | With the price of LCD and Plasma going up as the $$ goes down spend that little extra and make sure it is HD ready not standard PAL resolution. If in our life time we see HDTV here you don't want to have to replace that TV again.. | paulw (1826) | |

2006-04-03 21:44:00 | What do you mean changes to tv so they be obsolete? how will this affect any normal house hold? you can still watch telly on it cant you? so what dramatic thing will happen? id like a flat screen 32" or 43" ultimatley, but dont want the big bulk of a fat tv,..................but things may change..... confused now. all i want is a new tv that has a good amount of av, playstation, dvd, vid sockets not like the current one......... :waughh: beetle

There was talk of flatter crt,but that seams to have waned. there was something last year about a new technology thats in the works which looks set to out do plasma. no doubt they will release it after they have gotten their $$$ worth out of plasma sales. |

2006-04-04 01:11:00 | i get to see the sort of pics peole put up with and what they call good....trust me most people cannot tell the difference between a $300 crt and a $10,000 plasma. and i'll bet most lasma owners can't tell the difference between their sets and a good CRT. When the guys house falls down after tring to mount the 50inch crt on the wall, he will notice the difference :D
