442619 2006-04-01 09:49:00 Bands that have a lot of different songs I like:

Iron Maiden - Don't really know why, but I like them.
Aerosmith - Joe perry. I really like their earlier stuff. flows well & isn't too plain or repetitive
Queen - Similar reasons to Aerosmith. Freddy Mercury was a legendary singer.
AC/DC - I used to like heavy/hard rock, but AC/DC is as heavy as my tastes get these days.
Kiss - once again, don't know why, but love their music.
Guns N Roses - I just like that kind of music

Bands that I only like 5 - 10 songs by:

Offspring - don't really know why.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Love the bass line on some oftheir songs. The other songs are good, but don't stand out.
Marilyn Manson - Good for a change when I don't feel like listening to classic rock. His voice is interesting, he has a good bass player & although the guitar work isn't as fancy as classic bands, it works well.
Shihad - Was a good band. Most thge stuff I like is off the General Electric album.

As with a lot of others here, I don't listen to RAP :yuck:. I don't mind the really old RnB that was pretty much Rock & Roll with more instruments & a black singer, but the modern stuff is just as crap as rap.

442621 2006-04-01 10:37:00 I used to work in a record store, so things got real old in a week. These ones hang around for all sorts of reasons....

Ronnie Jordan- Quiet Revolution

Nina Simone- 'Baltimore'/'Everything must change'

Reverend Horton Heat- specially 'Cowboy Love' yeeha

Massive Attack- Protection

Butthole Surfers- Pepper... yay for miximitosis

Nick Cave- especially 'Into My Arms' & 'Are you the one...'

Bloodhound Gang- One fierce beer coaster

Propeller Heads- Decks and Drums...especially 'History Repeating' with Shirley Bassey belting :)

Cowboy Junkies- Trinity Sessions.... You can hear the air breathe!

St Germain- Tourist

Amos Lee- 'Arms of a woman'

Ernest Ranglan- Below the Baseline

Dusty- 'What have I done...with the Petshop thingies' and 'Nothing has been proved'

George Michael- 'Miss Sareajvo'.... camping in the Eastern Block :)

Nine Inch Nails... pretty much bare it all.

442622 2006-04-01 11:13:00 I have a 3 CD must get list.

Butthole Surfers - "Humpty Dumpty LSD", just to see if where the band went after "Weird Revolution", which i find a wonderful CD, particularly as in car music.

That and a couple of Blyth Power disks:
"Wicked Men, Wicked Women & Wicket Keepers" and another one.

I like "weird revolution" more than the prior release "Independent Worm Saloon", so maybe Humpty will be even better?

442623 2006-04-01 11:21:00 I have a feeling that Humpty tweaked the drugs a bit too much :( Shortcircuit (1666)
442624 2006-04-01 11:26:00 Oops, i forgot about "Electric Larry Land".

442626 2006-04-02 08:15:00 The only music I listen to is in the ads on TV. I don't know why. I used to listen to lots, just gone off it.

I really like the track for the snack bar ad where these two guys are sitting on a sofa in a queue waiting to get tickets to something. Haunting, suggestive, it sings to me.
