| 442346 | 2006-03-31 03:17:00 | Very late last night, a new thread appeared asking us in English to visit " my forum." The link went to what looked like a question/answer forum like ours, but in Russian script. Below it was a post entirely in Russian. I added one asking if we had any Russian speakers here "before it probably gets deleted as spam," and got a reply (can't remember who from, sorry - but a forum member) saying that it meant this was our first Russian poster. Now I find it hasn't been locked - as I thought it might be - but has vanished completely without trace. I'm not complaining, Mods - but I am curious. Other recent spam posts are still in the system, so why such a drastic measure for this one? Is it as simple as following my " deleted". comment, when I should've used " locked."? Or was your translation of the content more ominous? (Or didn't you like my joke that the poster might be sitting in the malfunctioning Sky satellite with nothing else to do?) |
