695028 2008-08-05 05:05:00 I sometimes download mp3 files that don’t have the appropriate information encoded (artist, song name and album). I’m using Sony media manager software that doesn’t allow me to include this info when I load them onto my Sony Walkman.

Is there any way of editing or adding the information?

Thanks

695029 2008-08-05 05:08:00 Do you have Vista?

It's really easy if you do, right click on the file (or files), properties, details.

Otherwise you could use WMP, add the songs and edit their track/artist/album info.

No I'm using XP.

Will try Media Player. Will this save the information to the MP3 file or will have have to then use Media Player to load my Walkman?

695031 2008-08-05 05:19:00 It SHOULD add the info to the MP3.

Last time I did it it seemed to work.

695032 2008-08-05 05:50:00 The best way to edit mp3 tags is to use this free program
Mp3tag

Ditto, it works very well and transfers all the new info to my phone and MP3 player the next time I sync.
