| 694894 | 2008-08-04 10:31:00 | My cellphone videos in 3GP format. I have been looking for a good 3GP viewer, freeware, and preferably one that does not need Quicktime. I've given up looking due to user comments warning that they have spyware or are not good viewers for whatever reason. Also, can anyone suggest a 3GP converter (to .avi or mpeg)? BTW, I got fed up with Quicktime and uninstalled it. Irritates me like RealPlayer. :p |

| 694898 | 2008-08-04 23:44:00 | You need the K-Lite Codec Pack (www.codecpackguide.com) pack installed as well I think Did you uninstall QT? That "preferences" you show in the last post is Quick Time prefs... |

That "preferences" you show in the last post is Quick Time prefs... Yes, I did uninstall QT. Just checked using CrapCleaner and its not there; also not visible using Control Panel > Add/Remove. But the folder is still there in Program Files with one file in it so I have now deleted it. [edit] tried once again: Start > Programs > QTAlternative > Configuration.... and I still get a Quick Time window opening (see post #4 above). When I open a 3GP file using QT Alternative's Media Player Classic, I still get the error message. Don't know what is wrong... :stare: |
