Lets see how fast people can type. I guess screenshots could be used a proper proof but I trust anyone.

I can type well over 200WPM but all the letters are together and no spacing, and they aren't the correct characters, so 200 WPM with 100% errors is 0 WPM.

But on a serious note, I average around 85 WPM and can sustain that speed for a long time, in that test I got 86 WPM no errors.

So how fast can people type?

Cheers,

KK

444746 2006-04-07 13:18:00 Being careful not to make mistakes I can do about 45 wpm with 98% accuracy or something. I couldnt even imagine doing 80wpm. My fingers would fall off.

Hmm, I want to test this with a dvorak keyboard now...

53 WPM, 93% accruacy. ;)

I never had any formal training - but one of my first computers had no permanent storage, so whenever I wanted to play a game, I had to type the BASIC program in each time - 600 plus lines of code on a Saturday afternoon, using a rubber keyboard, and you learn how to type or get frustrated very quickly...
