| 444699 | 2006-04-09 08:40:00 | Obviously you havent read the article on stuff.co.nz about sky tv going to hdtv in 18 months it is coming, go and read the article in the technology segment of stuff.co.nz Fta stations are launching their own satellite digital service later this year both tvnz and canwest are combining together to make this work as it costs so much to launch a satellite service.Once again go to stuff and read about that its all their if you look hard enough. |

| 444703 | 2006-04-09 23:51:00 | The FTA channels obviously wont be able to afford HDTV yet as they are both combining together to bring to us their own service with their own set top box later this year, The good thing about that is you pay a one off fee of $400 for a dish and set top box and their is no monthly fee their after. Sky Digital too will be offering more when they get their new optus D1 satellite in june. | Hitech (9024) | ||
| 444704 | 2006-04-10 06:38:00 | Don't get your hopes up about HD FTA coming in the next year or so. It will come eventually, but almost certainly after Sky rolls out its HD services, not before. Until then you will have to settle for SD transmissions and get your HD online or on Blueray/HDDVD. :) | maccrazy (6741) | ||
