443641 2006-04-05 06:09:00 Disagreed here. Were humans to be considered as part of the animal kingdom, I must say we are probably the strangest species compare to others. For example, most female animals are attracted to the opposite sex. Think of how peahen are attracted to peacock; think of how female albatross are always attracted to the male. But for humans, it is the other way round (most of the time). I will think of more examples to support my statement.

Cheers :)

Hi James - you did say to be critical !! Think about the phrasing of your comment above and how the context could be very different. Have a good think about it and you will probably see what I mean.
cheers

443643 2006-04-05 08:48:00 Hows this.. I got a phone call from world vision today, your sponsored child has died in an accident.. man....

They said that there were heavy rains, and they build thier houses out of mud.. the roof collapsed and killed the 7 year old girl... I've asked what we can do for the family, but that will be of little consequence...

I suggest that some of the money go to provideing people houses to live in that dont' kill them...

What?! Peahens generally don't go around chasing peacocks, the peacock struts around showing off his tail and if the peahen is in season and thinks the tail is impressive enough may consent .
Whats different about people - except usually the male is showing off his car or bank balance in more cases than his looks .

And as for albatrosses or whatever being always attracted to the male - well there are instances of lesbian activity among the four legged animals too - you should watch more nature programs . . . . .

443645 2006-04-05 11:25:00 One of a number of very worthwhile organisations. I can't imagine being a woman, let alone being battered and handicapped as well.
Misty :groan:
being a woman is a handicap enough without the beating

"animals" (pugwash.orcon.net.nz) by calling them "people" (http:)

443647 2006-04-06 08:15:00 Mr Morgan snr said earlier this week he would be giving his share of the sale away.
"I have had thousands and thousands of letters, and 90 per cent are basically asking for help with their mortgages," he told The New Zealand Herald.
"Among that there are some genuine needy cases, but I wonder if New Zealanders should look at themselves hard.
"It's no wonder the Government has such a job sorting out the benefits and has to employ armies to sort out the genuine cases from the freeloaders."
Mr Morgan said he had been shocked by people coveting his newfound millions after the Trade Me deal was announced.

443648 2006-04-06 12:49:00 ME.

Since Gareth Morgan said he was going to give $47,000,000 to charity he has received 2000 begging letters.

I think he would have better to shut up and do it quietly.

A little like a will I think. I would like the residue of my estate to go where I want it to.

Preferably I would not want people not known to me phone my estate lawyer and say "If there is any money left over can I have it."

443649 2006-04-06 13:03:00 The elderly .

I used to cut through a church ground when I was coming back from getting my lunch from the bakery, Most days there was a group of 30 or 40 people waiting inline for for a bowl of weak soup and a bread roll .

They were all old . Very old .

W-t-f is up when our retired pollies are living like lords while the hard grafters who wore themselves to the bone just to PAY TAXES are starving so bad that in their twighlight years they have to line up every day in the cold at a charity to get a tiny portion of insubstatial food . And the damn beggers were eyeing up my 3 bread rolls, 2 cream cakes, muffin, and caramel slice, Hell, I thought there was going to be violence .

Muhahahahaha .

Seriously, I don't give a damn about most things, Able bodied people are able to provide for themselves, most just about anybody needs is a good kick up the arse, an alarm clock, and the removal of the governemnt constructed (and paid for by us) safety net . Get out of bed bludgers .

Also, we need a hit squad, round up every single dog ,cat, horse in the country that doesn't have an owner and shoot it .

Hmmm . . . . I think I just solved the food issue .

443650 2006-04-06 13:18:00 LOL Metz. But I have to agree with you about the elderly. Every time I buy a canned or bottled item from the supa I cringe to think how some frail old and lonely hands must struggle to not only purchase the item, but even to open it.

Just because some of our old timers don't have this or that disease or life threatening complaint doesn't make them immune to the hardships of life. More attention should be given to our older fellows, especially at their fragile time of their lives.
