694782 2008-08-04 03:44:00 Its probably the sites / servers youre downloading from.

As it says file not found, its not there

And the file is only 93mb so it shouldn't be that long.

from my understanding, free rapidshare downloads do not allow download managers/download accelerators or resumption of downloads, or downloads starting from partway through the file. Just use the normal firefox one and hope you dont get disconnected.

694784 2008-08-04 04:18:00 That sometimes happens if you are downloading something that you are not meant to.

Eg: a pirated movie or music for example.

On the other side of the coin ( so to speak)There are thousands of legal downloads from people as well on those sites.

Those file sharing sites are checked by the people operating them, if they locate pirated data, or data thats goes against the agreement to use the site the file is deleted from their system, hence the "File Missing" Error. There is a possibility your ISP is also blocking the connections. Look at the log times basically 1 second between finding the file and not found ?

free rapidshare downloads do not allow download managersNot fully correct - Yes they do - the restart option does not work.

What is it you are trying to download ? - If its legal post a link to the file and I'll try.

694786 2008-08-04 21:44:00 What security programs do you have installed, sometimes if you have a virus or certain spyware on the PC it can affect downloading of files.

See if you can download HijackThis (www.trendsecure.com) - that's a direct download.

If you can put it in a folder, run and save a copy of the scan result, then copy/paste the whole log file here. - Lets see if there's anything obvious.
