Anyhow, If one of your main interests is using the Internet then why not live in a place that suits your needs? heck, One of my main interests is reading books, if we didn't have them here I would move in a heartbeat.... NZ is just another country, better then many, worse then many, Nothing special about the place apart from the Rugby. |

There have been a few times I have thought that, especially when I have been uploading a few video clips to a client website.... or when we have been uploading photos to be printed Maybe it makes sense if you're a highly-paid IT professional whose career absolutely depends on it. (Yeah, right. How many of those here?) Does that count web designers?? Otherwise - what were you doing when there was no such thing, anyway? Existing happily, I'll bet. Been frustrated at have to upload web pages two or three times as something went wrong with the first upload . |

| 444328 | 2006-04-07 03:41:00 | I saw at stuff.co.nz that there are like 1.2 million people using the internet and something like 890,000 are on dialup. Which just tells you - people don't care. Most aren't that interested in the net. Email and a bit of surfing. The internet simply isn't very important. If it were otherwise the talkback and public opinion columns would be full of moaning. Instead they talk about dog chipping, speeding tickets, and ungrateful beneficiaries. |

I think know one said they were leaving, just that it would be one of the reasons for leaving if asked. . 001,I will ask you how important broadband is in 10 years,I have a strong feeling you may see how important it is then.We must lift our heads from the navel. |

That is not an improvement on the situation and is a pain in the neck . Certianly not something I would want to invest in . Also the guy would be impossable to work with, a crochety old provincial pom with a chip on his shoulder . Also can you imagine anyone actually wanting to make it harder for themselves by installing it? The money would be in motels or hotels because of all their bathrooms, yet no one would dare install it in their rooms . Actually with dialup, if you use firefox, optimised fully, and only read web pages, you might not notice much benefit from broadband . Especially if you configured it so the middle lick loads the page in teh background, like Opera does . Then the pages load in the background while you are reading the first one . |

Well, I was thinking more along the line of forcing him out of his own company, then using the very same tactics that he dislikes to whore the prodct and reap millions . |

| 444332 | 2006-04-07 06:48:00 | I tuned in just as it got to the woman trying to sell her family recipe alcohol. One of the dragons sure liked it, but noone invested. I wonder if he went back to her & ordered a few bottles? | Greven (91) | ||
| 444333 | 2006-04-07 07:05:00 | And then to preach at the guy that raping the enviorment to make money was a good thing? We are currently in the process of refurishing the bathroom, Now If I can't source a bog that stops flushing when the handle is released then I'll buy one that is compatable with his invention. Actually there have been half flush loos around for ages. If you really want to save water get a composting loo. |
