| 695048 | 2008-08-05 08:21:00 | How can I make it so when I press Windows+E to open Explorer, the 'folders' pane does NOT appear on the left hand side? TIA |

OK - run regedit and navigate to this location : HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\explore\ddeexec Double-click (default) and you will see the Value is : [ExploreFolder("%l", %I, %S)] delete that and paste this in the Value field instead : [ViewFolder("%l", %I, %S)] save and exit |

| 695052 | 2008-08-11 07:58:00 | This will turn it off if you double click any folder, but it doesn't work when you press Win+E Eg: If you double clicked Computer on the desktop it will open without the pane on the left. It will also apply to every other folder when you do this. Graphical Here (www.imagef1.net.nz) 1. Click on Organize. (In Windows Explorer) 2. Click on Layout. 3. To Turn Off the Navigation Pane - A) Click on Navigation Pane to unhighlight the icon. 4. To Turn On the Navigation Pane - A) Click on Navigation Pane to highlight the icon. |
