444350 2006-04-06 03:12:00 At least it gets you to 65...

Cherubic-looking into his sixties, and with an enviably nimble physique, Pitney kept fit with a rigorous daily exercise regime, a careful diet and regular doses of vitamins.

444351 2006-04-06 06:17:00 I wanted to see this guy live some time, a girlfriend used to like him in the sixties and I enjoyed the music too after being forced to listen to it.

Sad, he wasn't that old, and after a stand up, as it turns out, final concert. Bugger.

444358 2006-04-06 13:32:00 I'm assuming this Pitney fellow pegged off then? At least it's no loss to the music world. Greg (193)
444359 2006-04-06 13:47:00 Wash your mouth out with soap, young Gregory!

Your post comes just as I've discovered the lengthy one I wrote about Gene Pitney hasn't appeared.

(It's a long time since I last lost one through pressing the wrong button, but the timing means you've just added insult to injury)

I'll now have to do what the marketers call "regroup"- except there's only one of me.
