| 447342 | 2006-04-21 03:08:00 | One of my friends said that the big passenger jets could be taken over & flown remotely in case of a hijacking. I don't think that is the case, but assuming that is possible, how would a system like that work? | Greven (91) | ||

I don't think that is the case, but assuming that is possible, how would a system like that work? by remote control, like an rc plane? autopilot does most the work anyway doesnt it? |

Have look here (www.dfrc.nasa.gov) i wonder if they put that fire inhibitor in fuel nowadays, it doesnt look like it... these romote controlled planes are interesting though (especially considering their purpose lol) |

| 447349 | 2006-04-21 06:55:00 | The thing that pisses me off the most is that anyone who publicly asks any questions about stuff like this is immediately branded as "crazy" by the media or just flat out ignored. His questions are valid - if you think otherwise you are part of the problem. |

| 447351 | 2006-04-21 08:55:00 | A large plane flying very fast and a large explosion shortly thereafter could easily take out a couple of floors, in which case you practically have half a building falling ontop of the other half, both already weakened by the initial fire and explosion which could easily trigger a collapse of both parts. as for stuff shooting out the sides of the buildings? pressure/weight could have been the cause of that. I guess it all depends on the timing, it's possible it was explosions set off to collapse the building, but it was said that the design of the buildings lower floors to achieve their height was weaker than lower buildings and at a time when such an impact of said falling top of building could cause a large shockwave, it's possible the bottom just gave way. Also, the buildings themselves would have been designed to collapse straight down in the event of such a scenario (do you really want them falling sideways???) however failures of generators, oil pumps, sprinkler systems etc at the critical time does sound quite dodgy, and its possible that was too part of a planned scheme. America being what it is I would not be surprised if the whole thing was a setup by the government or whoever. |
