447032 2006-04-18 04:04:00 They don't do lunch type creations! They do pre processed crap :yuck:

Since we're on about fast food... avoid the KFC in Orewa, It should have been shut down ages ago. :yuck:

likewise with the KFC in North Dunedin, it recieved an E grade a little while ago.

447033 2006-04-18 04:12:00 In that case why not just find a place that starts with Mc and ends with Donalds! :groan:
I thought I just said I wanted a real restaurant. I wouldn't eat in that place if you paid me to. Its not even food.

447034 2006-04-18 04:17:00 I just hate Gore, the people there are just terrible, rude, and trouble makers. The Gorons just come to town and cause trouble. Maybe its just the young bogans that make a bad reputation for the town.

Ah. Haven't come across any yet. I would say its the same anywhere though, there are hoons in all towns and cities.
Where I used to live a friend was not just tailgated and abused but attacked in his car.
Even quiet little Wyndham the other day, a bottle filled carload of young people lost it in a ditch just outside of town and the first thing the driver did after climbing out and being notified the ambulance and police were on the way was open another beer. Too bad about one girl passenger, she was just ignored and left to bleed meanwhile.
(It wasn't a serious injury)

Some friends and I were passing through Gore one day, driving round checking out the town, we get tail gated, abused at and getting cut off because they just felt the need to pick on a holden (they were driving old fords). You give other drivers on the open road a friendly wave, but they dont wave back.

The KFC is terrible, uncooked chicken, dirty tables etc

oh and no offence to the pressf1 members from Gore, you are nice people. :), thats about it.There have always been the racers in Gore (town with F all people in it, a heap of old Falcon 500's and Holden HQ's; and 2 lanes for miles either side.. recipe for dragging). Its just a few years after I left they started to get out of control (hence they filled in the centre parks to try and alleviate the downtown drinking issue).

As for KFC, it must be a nationwide problem... I noticed the KFC here in New Plymouth is crap too . Tauranga seems to have slipped slightly too in the last few years.

447037 2006-04-18 06:11:00 I had dinner at the Zookeepres Cafe in Tay St a couple of years back & thought it was very nice at the time. Assuming it hasn't changed hands or anything it may be worth a look. Mackin_NZ (6958)

I think the one next to cambridge place is the one that sells icecreams as well

The one i mean is called "turkish kebabs" it's the one between the 24 hour shop and the jap food place, opposite hallensteins, I really love the vine leaves with the yoghurt sauce stuff and of course the kebabs, my wife is vegan so it is one of the few places we can actually get a meal the whole family can eat
