I'm convinced.   well its certainly alot more convincing than commenting on the shape of the flames from the crash at the pentagon, or the shadows of a so called missile. wheres your photographic proof of it being something other than a plane, expert? |

Science isn't actually involved, at best it's pseudo science, but closer to the irrational belief processes normally associated with religion, such as we have seen elsewhere on this page. Once people "believe" then no amount of debate/argument/discussion will change those beliefs, so there is no point in even trying. Again it is a human need to "believe" that drive these thought processes. |

If there was a tail section, a mass piece of fuselage, a wing or two - I would not have an issue - the fact that none of these things are there and that the entire plane just shattered into a zillion peices on impact is completely implausable to me. I'm not saying a missle hit it - I don't know what did - explosives of some sort just seems more likely than a huge plane leaving only minor evidence of its very existence. All I can say is if the appropriate footage was released in an un-molested fashion it would clear up a lot of doubt. |

I'm not trying to change anyone's beliefs - just entertaining the fact that all is not usually what it seems and there is always more to a story than what you hear/see in the news. People should be aware of all the information available and make up their own minds. *yawn* this thread is getting old really quick... |

| 447366 | 2006-04-21 11:26:00 | One photo with a piece of metal, without any signs of being burnt (there was a big explosion remember) is not proof that a plane crashed into the Pentagon. If they managed to find plane debris (landing gear) from the 2 planes that hit the twin towers surely they can show some real evidence of a plane at the Pentagon??? |

| 447367 | 2006-04-21 11:38:00 | It's really a waste of time Tux trying to debate with people who are obsessed with conspiracy theories . Once people "believe" then no amount of debate/argument/discussion will change those beliefs, so there is no point in even trying . Again it is a human need to "believe" that drive these thought processes . Rather it is that conspiracy theories are attractive for some people . Many people today feel small and powerless and find the world a confusing place . They see others in apparent positions of wealth and influence . Without sufficent education and life experience, they are easily seduced by the idea of "us" and "them" Newspaper public opinion columns, talkback radio, internet forums and blogs are seething with references to "the Government" or "Big Oil" or "the Corporates" etc ad infinitum . All of these mysterious forces are working day and night in atmospherically controlled stainless steel chambers plotting the next Big Lie . They may even visit each others chambers to swop ideas . The vast majority of conspiracy theories are arrant nonsense but because knowledge of science is suprisingly sparse, reasoned logical scientific explanations are dismissed as being "Establishment" and ignored . Sad but you are right Terry, explanations are boring compared with the idea of dark secret forces . Darth Vader is alive and well . ;) |

| 447369 | 2006-04-21 23:38:00 | from where? the hotel? how do you even know the cameras were pointing at the pentagon, what about the petrol station? isnt that enough proof . have a look, i clearly see a large jet . dont you?? if there is a large jet, which i dont clearly see, why did they release only 5 frames? and its good to see agent24 understands my point of view: something smells fishy and whats funny about my fuel comment? they said it wasnt too sucessful, and it slightly degraded the fuel as not all of the compound could be removed before it entered the engines . but i think keeping fuel in a non-volatile state untill it is needed is a very good idea, not only for planes . |

| 447370 | 2006-04-21 23:46:00 | im sorry dear, have i offended you, want a tissue to wipe those glum tears from your face? i had not seen the 5 frames controversy, but i have had a look at it. just one thing, if it wasnt a 757, then this photo must surely be photoshopped www.popularmechanics.com MATH%3A%3C%2Fspan%3E+Wreckage+from+Flight+77+on+th e+Pentagon%E2%80%99s+lawn--proof+that+a+passenger+plane%2C+not+a+missile%2C+h it+the+building.+PHOTOGRAPH+BY+AP%2FWIDE+WORLD+PHO TOS really? edited or not (could be planted lol), how do you know that actually belongs to a plane? its just a twisted piece of metal, with some red/white paint on it. where's the tail/engines/wheels? even seats? i hear the government released a computer simulation that apparently (and sure looks like) a load of crap. and mind the personal comments. |
