695665 2008-08-07 19:07:00 Hi I have just bought a DSE Freeview decoder and am hopeing to connect it into my computer as we watch TV on the monitor. I have a Compro DVB-T300 TV card.
The only plug on it that the decoder has as well is an s- video plug.
Would anyone know before I buy the cable if this will work?
Thanks,
asdex

695666 2008-08-07 20:06:00 No you shouldnt need the cable. Since its in the tuner. All you need is an aerial or dish, or whatever.

And a program to tune it in with

695667 2008-08-07 20:49:00 Yea as Speedy said, that DVB-T3000 card has the terrestrial (UHF) Freeview decoder built in so all you need to do is connect the UHF aerial cable directly to it. No need for the DSE decoder. CYaBro (73)
695668 2008-08-07 23:52:00 Thanks very much, I can still use the decoder on my TV in the bedroom.
For the COMPRO VIDEOMATE DVB-T300 card what program should I use to tune it? Is there a free one I can download?
Thanks,

695669 2008-08-07 23:55:00 Did it comes with a program on a cd?

695670 2008-08-08 00:03:00 I use GB-PVR (http://www.gbpvr.com) Agent_24 (57)
695671 2008-08-11 00:19:00 Hi I have tried both programs but haven't got them to work. I have Freeview on the bedroom TV so know the signal is ok.
In the tuning configuration of GB-PVR I have selected New Zealand but there is no card entry for the Compro VideoMate DVB-T300.
Can I somehow add entries here? I hjave tried different cards but it doesn't except them.
Thanks,
asdex

695672 2008-08-11 00:23:00 Did you install the drivers for it, if it needs drivers? Speedy Gonzales (78)
695673 2008-08-11 04:23:00 If there is no entry for your card in the list it may not be supported (yet)

Make sure you have the right list. What happens if you try the autodetect option?
