445459 2006-04-10 09:45:00 wait are they those black ones with 'i don't mind if you swear, at least we're talking - god' stuff on them? I'm surprised no one modified them DangerousDave (697)
445460 2006-04-10 21:39:00 Didn't see it. Haven't watched Closeup since that woman started crying about how poor she was on about half a million bucks a year, or whatever.

John Campbell's much more humble (or discreet)

445461 2006-04-11 05:29:00 There is a video of the Close Up program here (tvnz.co.nz).
OK to view on dial up, which I have.

BTW, the advertising campaign cost $50,000.
If I heard correctly, this was funded by two real estate agents and they have plans for expanding to Wgtn and Chch.

I say "good on them" for doing what they believe will help others, and especially for leaving out Christianity so that it is open to those from all faiths. Of course someone here will probably bring up the argument of the money being spent on a better purpose e.g. Women's Refuge, Save the Whales, or whatever.

445462 2006-04-11 09:18:00 Not sure how you can refer to the billboards are "religous".. Religious would infer that the billboards refered to a "religion" which they did not. They are "theist" boards as the refer to a diety, which can be accepted by any "religion" or a universal force if you wish. whichwayisup (10136)

445464 2006-04-11 10:04:00 Someone has put together a slick marketing campaign for God?

How very nice of them, no doubt in order to save us poor deluded fools from our own stupidity?

They can go to hell.

Does it not follow, that if they can go to hell, that we can go to heaven?
