| 696337 | 2008-08-10 10:09:00 | Evening all, I come with bowed head, seeking enlightenment. Question: I have always been under the impression that you can add files, etc. to a re-writeable CD, but not to a CD-R. Am I correct? I can find no reference to adding to a CD-r in any book or magazine, or on Nero or the XP manual [XP the Missing manual by David Pogue] that I have. Even on the Microsoft help site, they tell you how to burn files to a disc with Vista, but do not tell you which disc to use. I have been told, not to close the session, but that information does not show on any screen I have seen when burning a CD-r. Any advice would be most appreciated. I await with bated breath. |

| 696338 | 2008-08-10 11:16:00 | On a CD-r if you don't close/finalise it you can keep adding files to it until it is full. Your burning software should have the option to turn that off or on. :) |

If I had done so for this problem, I would have seen the 'session' box , and ticked it accordingly. Humbly bow my head in shame and thank you all for pointing out my indiscretion. |
