696201 2008-08-10 04:35:00 Welcome to Press F1 - load in your Vista DVD, boot from it, and reinstall it. When you get to the part showing the drives, Click on Drive options ( Advanced) and delete the partition, then follow instructions through- Here is a Graphical (vistahomepremium.windowsreinstall.com)step by step instruction (s)

Regarding your Poll - If its a HP computer you should have made a Recovery DVD - just use that.

696202 2008-08-10 04:37:00 Did you create the recovery discs or do you still have the Vista install disc?

If so, follow instructions here (vistahomepremium.windowsreinstall.com).

BUT delete All of the partitions on your HD before installing Vista.

You should have created the recovery discs BEFORE you moved to Linux - therefore get them from HP. By FAR the cheapest way. Not free, but the cheapest. The other 2 options are a BIG waste of $.

lol same link Wainuitech...

696205 2008-08-10 04:59:00 Why didn't you just dualboot?
If you can get the key can you ring MS and ask for a new CD?

It would be easier to buy the restore DVDs from HP. Too bad they preload so much ****.

That's a bit emotional!! There are plenty of other people that might be inclined to say that MSWindows sucks :>(

Did you take any time to find out how it works? It is not the same as Windows.

696209 2008-08-10 08:14:00 Installing Windows XP would probably be a hell of a lot of work, and expensive if the laptop wasn't running windows vista business edition. Greven (91)
