2008-08-08 07:04:00 | Torrents may not be illegal but whats on them probably is If you haven't patched the tcpip.sys file (why this was made smaller was because of P2P), it probably doesnt have enough ports

2008-08-08 07:27:00 | how do you do that You dont have to be a rocket scientist, to know that most of them have pirated / illegal software on them Thats why people host them and why people use P2P programs And why people get viruses / trojans

2008-08-08 07:43:00 | Speedy is right, a lot of them are illegal, but upon saying that there are legal ones as well, the first that comes to mind is you can download a Linux Distro which can be a torrent - all legal. Generally speaking if you think along the lines of movies, if you had to buy them from a shop and they are on a torrent site consider it illegal (mostly)

2008-08-08 08:32:00 | Who is your ISP, some ISP's throttle back torrent / P2P downloads. It can also depend on how many people are seeding and where they are in the world. If you want to try as a test downloadThis Here (neosmart.net) Its a Vista Recovery Console, the speed I'm getting is up and down like a yo-yo Ranging from 120 KB/s to 276KB/s

2008-08-10 03:06:00 | Torrents are usually illegal but are good for downloading linux distros | Blam (54) | |
2008-08-10 03:56:00 | If you need a good test torrent, try this one (torrent.unix-ag.uni-kl.de fda8db36f9b) - it's the latest knoppix disk. The knoppix torrents are usually extremely well seeded, and therefore are very fast - if you can't max out your connection with this one, then there is probably somethign wrong with your settings. | Erayd (23) | |
