448070 2006-04-24 20:54:00 It all depends Cic. on whether you are a photographer, or a snapographer, it sounds as though you maybe the latter?
Were we talking of photographers? Can't quite see the logic there T. ;)

448071 2006-04-24 23:51:00 Wish I could get a new S602 I love having to carry a separate flash and a multiplier and two cards about,I have just bought a ruck sack, would have carried all the parts perfectly.
With extra pixels (S5600)I believe one can describe it as a real camera,I can understand GF feeling that he nearly has a real camera.
Re size I think it's the perception that matters, you will agree it does look rather bulky.

Suffering from Camera Envy Cicero?

The cards go inside the camera, so no need to carry them separately in your rucksack.

The external flash is only needed if you don't want to use the built-in one which is identical to the S5600 flash, all built in ones tend to be a bit wimpish.

The extra solidness (and resulting weight) of the S602 would be a bit too much at your age I suspect though.

Having handled both, I would not swap. I don't need the pixel count of the S602 for what I do, so need the small extra resolution of the S5600 even less.

How does one become envious of a lesser camera?
I could take up weight lifting and get a S602,but why bother when the latest technongy is available?
With the iso range being so good why would you need the extra flash,no if you are going away and require the best, you can borrow mine.

448073 2006-04-25 00:44:00 Hi C. This camera you are offering to lend gf..... is it the same one that you have not bought yet? When I get my Fujis5600 I will get Scouse (83)
448074 2006-04-25 10:32:00 And to add to Scouse's well spotted comment, if I am "going away" (as I have to from time to time) I always take my Nikon, as it fits in my shirt pocket. And I have 1.5 GB of cards for it, plus it only uses 2 x AA alkalines so I dont need to take a charger either.

Its only for macro work or telephoto work I need the S602, I have yet another x 200 magnification macro device, it's a digital microscope.
