447652 2006-05-10 01:30:00 I agree it's a fantastic concept. If only it was at least 99% trustworthy I reckon it'd be a huge success. Me, I won't dare buy a thing from them. Greg (193)

447654 2006-05-14 02:39:00 Important Service Announcement

We really need to put our hand up and admit that our customer service has been terrible of late! We are a small company, and have been overwhelmed by the volume of orders and enquiries and we haven’t been able to keep up to date with them all.

We haven’t been able to deliver on the dates that we have promised, and whilst we have had few product problems, we haven’t responded quickly enough to your enquires, and this has been upsetting for both us, and some of our customers.

We don’t want to keep shipping new products until we are up to date with the outstanding orders and customer issues. In light of this we will be closed today (Sunday 13th May) and possibly Monday, to make sure that both our deliveries and customer issues are up to date.

If you have an outstanding support enquiry, and wish to have it fast-tracked, please email adam@firstin.co.nz directly, or alternatively, we will have online-support@firstin.co.nz up and running via MSN Messenger today (Sunday) from 10am-12pm, and again from 1pm-4pm. Depending on how things go, we will have this open on Sunday and Monday as well (to be advised).

Whilst this is a fairly severe measure, we want to do the best by both our customers and suppliers. We don’t want to promote new products until we feel comfortable that we are doing things 100% right. We are currently working through some new supplier and customer service strategies, so that we can match up to the high expectations of FirstIn.

Regards,
The FirstIn Team

We really need to put our hand up and admit that our customer service has been terrible regardless of what our name currently is/was!

We haven’t been able to deliver on the dates that we have promised, we haven’t responded to your enquires, and this has been upsetting for you but not us.

We want to keep shipping new products regardless of the outstanding orders and customer issues. In light of this we have posted this lame announcement to keep your hopes up.

Whilst this is a fairly pathetic measure, we want to encourage you to keep buying. We want to promote new products so you feel comfortable. We are currently blaming the suppliers and thinking up new strategies, so that we can match up to our record as PC Company.

I spoke to the ^%$%$# once. It was to do with a dodgy scheme he had with the now deceased Building Depot. He wanted someone to flog off his remaining PCs there.
He doesn't like me now. He was a bit upset I said it was unethical and he had a track record of poor customer service.
